NEWS: New Monte Montgomery CD

Next week I’ll post my review of Monte Montgomery’s new, self-titled album.
Montgomery was named by Guitar Player Magazine as one of the ‘Top 50 All-Time Greatest Guitar Players’ and he’s an absolute monster of the guitar. A little while ago Guitar Player ran a feature on him, and they looked at his technique, approach, and guitar in great depth.
Monte Montgomery’s music is acoustic-based, and he wrings some amazing sounds out of his Alvarez MMY-1 Monte Montgomery signature guitar. I haven’t seen an acoustic guitar so lovingly beaten up since the last time Tommy Emmanuel came to town.

And I'm Assistant Social Coordinator with Seymour Duncan. I've been playing guitar since I was 8 years old, and I've been writing for magazines since I was 18. I've also worked as a guitar teacher (up to 50 students a week), a setup tech, a newspaper editor, and I've also dabbled in radio a little bit. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and my hobbies include drinking way too much coffee, and eating way too much Mexican food.
