NEWS: Randy Rhoads documentary trailer

I’ve been waiting for this one for a while. I’ll be waiting a bit longer because the movie itself isn’t finished yet, but here’s the trailer for the Peter M Margolis and Dakota Films documentary on the life of Randy Rhoads. [EDIT: They've now taken the video down so, uh... hmm. Nevermind.] To be honest I don’t listen to Randy much any more but between the ages of about 14 and 18 he was a huge part of my guitaristic landscape. I just overloaded on his playing so much back that then I don’t really need to listen to it much now – it’s all permanently affixed to the inside of my head.

I clicked play and…"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by DAKOTA PICTURES". Wow, wasn't this video trailer meant for advertising purposes? And yet they still removed the video from YouTube, which is quite possibly one of the best FREE advertising resources around? This whole copyright thing has gotten way out of hand…and perhaps come full circle haha!

Oh yeah. Hmm… well I'm going to leave this here even though the post is kinda useless now. Oh well.

I watched the trailer a few months ago. I cannot wait for the release. I understand that Kevin DuBrow with held all of his personal photos and film clips and refused to be a part of it. Jealousy? Sad….
