NEWS: Washburn Nuno Bettencourt N7

Just saw this one on Guitar Noize. It appears the Washburn N7 7-string that Nuno Bettencourt was rocking on Australian Idol with Rihanna is now available from the Washburn Custom Shop!

According to the Funky Munky Music forum, The stock N7 will have a Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucker in the bridge, instead of the Bill Lawrence L500 of the 6-string version. It will have an alder body, maple neck and ebony fretboard. Price will be $US2799.

NEWS: Warrant/Quiet Riot/LA Guns tour cancelled?

Hearing a few different things here: that Quiet Riot pulled out, that both Warrant and Quiet Riot pulled out, that the whole tour is off, that the tour is continuing with a few lineup changes, etc etc etc.

Quiet Riot has put out a release saying all three bands are out. From the Quiet Riot Facebook:

OFFICIAL PRESS & MEDIA RELEASE:

QUIET RIOT, WARRANT AND L.A. GUNS REGRET TO INFORM THEIR FANS AND THE PUBLIC THAT AS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE PROMOTER’S BREACH OF CONTRACT THE “METAL HEALTH TOUR” SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 2011 IN AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

QUESTIONS REGARDING REFUNDS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE PROMOTER – INTENSE IMPACT.

Meanwhile the promoter said this on their Facebook:

An official announcement from Intense Impact will be forthcoming later today regarding a revision of the Metal Health 2011 Tour. This revision was initiated in order to take into account that Quiet Riot have decided not to continue with this tour, therefore Intense Impact are restructuring the current concert line-up with the welcomed addition of Mike Stone (Queensryche) new band “The Stick People”.

Um, can you even still call it the Metal Health tour if Quiet Riot have pulled out? Anyway, this all seems a bit messy and I’m sure it’ll be an entertaining day of Facebook posts before the truth is known.
