Woo! Devin Townsend is heading back to Australia in October to once again spread his particular and peculiar blend of intensity, good vibes, crushing metal, haunting melodicism and fart jokes across four states. Devin was last here for the 2012 Soundwave festival and he has a long history of killer Australian shows. The Palace here in Melbourne is a great venue for this and I’ll be there for sure. Here’s the press release:
Devin Townsend Project Australian tour announced!
Devin Townsend is one of the most admired and celebrated figures in the metal world.
Devin Townsend has astonished, beguiled and occasionally baffled all comers in numerous incarnations in a career spanning two decades. He has produced a catalogue of work that can only be described as iconic; inventing and reinventing the rules as they go along.
Never one to sit idly, Devin Townsend’s new album ‘Epicloud’ stands as the summation of his brilliant career to date. It’s “unashamedly joyful, exuberant and transcendent with a sound that’s practically stratospheric.” – Thrash Hits
There are no more joyous experiences in modern metal than a Devin Townsend concert and on his upcoming October tour fans can expect a career defining set featuring songs from across his expansive catalogue.
