TCP_2502b369302b5fbd6“#$%*! Adelaide misses out again?!” – It’s a common cry heard by promoters from the denizens of the City of Churches as tour after tour bypasses them.

We note your pain, good people of Adelaide and so do The Crimson ProjeKCt.

The monsters of prog would dearly love to bring their three hour show of outstanding musicianship to the city by the Gulf St. Vincent and are today launching a Pledgemusic campaign for fans to sign up for the show and to encourage others to help bring the music of King Crimson to Adelaide.

The Crimson ProjeKCt features three King Crimson alumni, Adrian Belew (Bowie, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa), Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, John Lennon, Chapman Stick exponent) and Pat Mastelotto (David Sylvian, Sugarcubes, John Paul Jones) joined by Fripp acolyte Markus Reuter and the rhythm section of the Adrian Belew Power Trio – Julie Slick and Tobias Ralph.

The concerts will commence with sets by The Stick Men (featuring Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto & Markus Reuter) and the Adrian Belew Power Trio before culminating in a performance of King Crimson material by The Crimson ProjeKCt featuring all six musicians.

Adelaide fans can pledge to buy tickets for the show individually or in combination with some rare and exclusive music and merch.

Fans worldwide can support their brothers and sisters in post-progressive zeal by placing a pledge for a mix of limited release music, tee shirts and other goodies.

These concerts on this Australasian tour represent the first and very likely the last opportunity ever for Australian and New Zealand audiences to witness the sheer majestic force of the music of King Crimson performed by those instrumental in its creation.

The final word on this awe-inspiring tour must go to Adrian Belew – “It’s a helluva show! Nearly 3 hours long: Stick Men play a set of their music (which includes a Krimson track or two), then the Power Trio plays a set of my music (which also includes a Krimson track), then Tony and Pat and I play a Krimson song (as yet another trio), and then comes the big finale: both trios play more than an hours-worth of Krimson music as a double trio!”
