INTERVIEW: Asking Alexandria’s Ben Bruce

Asking Alexanrdia2012 was a breakout year for Asking Alexandria, headlining massive sold-out European and North American tours, and capping it all off with a slot on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival. This year they’ve packed in a stack of European festival appearances as well as a huge, huge show at the Download festival. And now they’ve released From Death To Destiny, their third album. Produced by Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Buried in Verona, Of Mice and Men), From Death To Destiny is heavy, melodic, intense and powerful. And it’s full of the twin-guitar attack of Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell, both of whom are die-hard Ibanez guys with their own signature models. I reached out to Bruce because I thought it’d be fun to have a nice nerdly chat about all things six-string.

Asking Alexandria Rock Ibanez Sigs

image008The UK’s Asking Alexandria is preparing to release their much anticipated, new full-length album From Death To Destiny on Friday 9 August through Sumerian Records. And they’ll be rocking their new Ibanez signature models as they promote the album around the world. Check out the video below for info about the Cameron Liddell and Ben Bruce signature models, each of which comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. I particularly like that Bruce’s model is based on the FR shape, which I think is a hugely underrated and underappreciated Ibanez design. And both models are priced affordably for Asking Alexandria fans, and frankly I just think it’s cool to see some new signature artists joining the artist roster.
