EVH Unchains The ‘Circles’ Guitar

EVH Stripe Circles

EVH Gear has added a new guitar to the Stripe series: the EVH Circles model, inspired by Eddie’s famous “Unchained” guitar – right down to the “Bye See Ya Later” text on the back! From the EVH Gear website: “With an otherworldly black-and-white “crop circles” graphic gloss finish, the EVH Circles model is without question one of the most distinctively eye-catching guitars in the Stripe Series lineup. There’s nothing alien about the rest of this high-performance tone machine, though, with its sleek Strat®-like basswood body, rock-solid quartersawn maple neck with oiled finish, fast and smooth compound-radius maple fingerboard (12”-16”) with comfortably rolled edges and 22 jumbo frets, a single ferocious EVH direct-mount pickup with single black plastic control knob (master volume), EVH Floyd Rose® bridge and locking nut, and EVH tuners.”

NAMM: EVH Gear Booth Visit

IMG_2387There’s a very particular feeling I get whenever I check out the EVH section at Fender’s room at NAMM. It’s a feeling that Eddie Van Halen (and the folks working with him like Chip Ellis, Matt Bruck and Fender) have so much experience, knowledge and creativity when it comes to guitars and amps that your tone is in the best possible hands. And that’s something that’s apparent whether you’re plugging into an EVH 5150III amp, picking up one of the EVH Striped models that made their second showing this year, or one of the much pricier EVH Wolfgang Custom Relic USA models. Here’s a look at the EVH booth at NAMM. Read More …

Get Yer EVH Striped Series!

PG-Daily_EVH-striped-photo_03I was just cruising through some of the online retailers looking for a good price on an Ibanez Iron Label 8-string (hey, when is enough strings ever really enough? No! Nine for me please!) when I noticed that the EVH Striped guitars – which were officially announced at Winter NAMM in January – are now showing up online. Want one? So do I! Here are some shopping links for you to make your stripey dreams a reality. And of course, if these retailers don’t ship to your particular country, hit up your local retailer and support your local musical instrument industry. I can’t wait to see these guitars showing up in the wild. If you get one, post a pic on the I Heart Guitar Facebook page!
