NAMM: Perri Ink Gypsy Custom Guitar

GypsyGTR_8You’ve no doubt read about Perri Ink. Custom Guitars in these pages before: Nick Perri has a real knack for taking the requirements of real-world pro players, filtering them through a pretty damn distinctive and stylish visual flair, and putting them out into the world as droolworthy pro-level custom guitars. Up until now all Perri. Ink guitars have been based on classic body shapes, but with the Gypsy the company has unveiled their first fully original design. It’s slinky and sexy and has a definite classic-meets-boutique-meets-modern vibe going on. Here’s the press release: Continue reading

Two New Perri Ink Custom Guitar Models

C&M_both_2Nick Perri’s PERRI INK. Custom Guitars company has done the seemingly impossible: burst out of the gate with a really clear, defined style which they’ve been able to successfully imprint upon everything they do, no matter what style of guitar they apply it to. In other words, in almost no time at all PERRI INK. has made it so that you can spot a PERRI INK. guitar before you even see the name on the headstock. This is especially true of the new Capistrano model, launched simultaneously with the new Mojave. Here’s a press release about the new models, but make sure you check out the video too, alright? Cool. Continue reading

IMG_6383The Show & Tell

The PERRI INK. “Show & Tell” was designed in part to pay homage to the band and record that gave company owner Nick Perri his start in the music industry, and also to very specifically nail three of the most significant tones used on the Silvertide record, “Show and Tell”. Aside from its comfortable body contours and stunning good looks (supplied by Casey Johnson at Headcase Kustom Art), it also features our most ambitious pickup configuration and wiring schematic to date. From a thick humbucking crunch in the bridge, to a P90 jangle in the neck, and a tapped and paralleled combination of both, this guitar can summon tones to cover ALL your bases.

Like all PERRI INK. Custom Guitars, the Show & Tell is American made, handmade, built to order, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Continue reading
