If you’re in Chicago, please keep a look out for Zakk Wylde’s Pelham Blue bullseye Gibson Les Paul Custom. It was stolen off his tour bus (along with a leather BLS vest). It was taken at 10:11pm during the Experience Hendrix show (which also features Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson, Dweezil Zappa, Johnny Lang, Bootsy Collins, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Billy Cox and more). I interviewed Zakk about this guitar for Gibson.com a few years ago and it sounds like it’s very near and dear to his heart. If you know the guitar’s whereabouts, you can contact Zakk through Twitter at @ZakkWyldeBLS. Read More …
Got some sucky news today about the theft of a guitar belonging to someone who has contributed a huge amount to the guitar community in general and Ibanez geeks like me in particular.
“STOLEN GUITAR ALERT!!!! Kevan Geier’s (inventor of the Tremol-no) Ibanez Universe UV777PBK was stolen last night in California. The guitar is IMMEDIATELY recognizable due to the pearloid pickguard, Steve Vai signature on the back of the headstock, Tremol-No installed, and countersunk strap buttons. If you see this guitar online anywhere…, please contact Kevan immediately: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks.”
