NASHVILLE, TN (March 15, 2022) Kramer, the original MADE TO ROCK HARD guitar brand has been setting trends with premium, performance-focused instruments since 1976. Made for rule-breakers that play fast and loud, Kramer has been embraced by legendary rockers and shredders like Eddie Van Halen, Vivian Campbell, Richie Sambora, Elliot Easton, Mick Mars. With its Original, Modern, and Artist Collections, Kramer spans entry-level and intermediate guitars, as well as professional offerings, across the entire line which continue to make Kramer the guitar of choice for today’s hard rock and metal legends.
Today, March 15, 2022, Kramer has unveiled the new SM-1 H, available worldwide at authorized Kramer dealers worldwide and on www.kramerguitars.com. The all-new SM-1 H is an exciting new version of the SM-1 and an updated version of the original Kramer Stagemaster Mach II. The Kramer SM-1 H retains the neck-through, double-cutaway mahogany body, ebony fingerboard, and Floyd Rose 1000 series tremolo and R2 1000 series locking nut of the original SM-1 but has simplified electronics consisting of single volume control with push/pull series/parallel switching and a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position. The new SM-1 H is available in Buzzsaw Gold, Shockwave Purple, and Tronius Silver, with an optional hard case available.
“The SM-1 was a trailblazing guitar design when it debuted as the Stagemaster in 1986. It met the needs of the era’s virtuosos with its neck-through design, scalloped double cutaways, and recessed tremolo cavity allowing for the widest room for Floyd Rose pyrotechnic dive-bombs and pull-ups,” says Aljon Go, Product Manager for Kramer and Epiphone. “The new SM-1 H celebrates many of the same features of the original Stagemaster Mach II with the same body styling, single flame-throwing pickup, and adds a modern twist with a push/pull volume control to add more tonal diversity while keeping a very stripped-down look with stunning new finishes for a whole new generation of guitarists who demand a guitar built for speed, playability, and comfort regardless of genre.”
The Kramer Original Collection heads back to basics with the guitars which capture the look and feel of the original shredder guitar and introduce the Kramer name to a new generation. Utilizing the best tonewoods, components, neck profiles, and iconic body shapes, these guitars take players back in time to experience guitars made famous by legendary guitar heroes. The new Original Collection includes the newly announced SM-1 H, as well as, the Baretta Special, and Focus VT -211S which are some of the most influential guitars in rock history and designed for new players to discover Kramer at an affordable price. Crossing over into the higher-end rock classics, Kramer brings in the Jersey Star, Pacer, SM-1, NightSwan, The 84, the Baretta, and all of the iconic models that changed the guitar world forever.
