KORN RELEASES REQUIEM VIA LOMA VISTA RECORDINGS
Korn releases their highly anticipated studio album Requiem via Loma Vista Recordings, today. The 9-track album features the stand-out hit single Start the Healing, in addition to the previously released tracks Forgotten, which Rolling Stone described as “explosive” and Lost In The Grandeur, which dropped just a few days before Requiem’s release as a final taste of the record. Requiem is produced by Korn and Chris Collier. Energized by a new creative process free of time constraints, the band was able to do things with Requiem that the past two decades haven’t always afforded them, such as taking additional time to experiment together or diligently recording to analog tape – processes which unearthed newfound sonic dimension and texture in their music.
To celebrate the release of Requiem, Korn, recently described by GQ as “bold and iconoclastic,” will be performing two sold-out shows, one tonight and one tomorrow night, in Los Angeles at the Banc Of California stadium alongside System Of A Down, Helmet and Russian Circles.
In celebration of Requiem’s release, Korn will be hosting a Requiem Mass; a global event taking place at 3pm AEDT time today. Join the band in honouring the souls that have passed during these unprecedented times, with an intimate ceremony and epic live performance, music directed by Richard Gibbs (Queen of the Damned), unlike you’ve ever seen Korn before, at the Hollywood United Methodist Church in Los Angeles. The Requiem Mass will be live-streamed globally for all to experience, directly from the church to Korn’s YouTube channel in real time.
Korn are currently performing four nights with System Of A Down.
Korn kicks off their 2022 arena tour, produced by Live Nation, on March 4 and will be accompanied by very special guests Chevelle and Code Orange on the 19-date junket.
